⏰ Observation Activity: Pihu's Day

Read the story of Pihu to understand the four main parts of a day.

Morning

  • Sun rises.
  • Wake up from bed.
  • Drink warm water and do yoga/exercise.
  • Brush teeth, take a bath.
  • Eat breakfast and go to school.

Afternoon

  • Sun is high in the sky.
  • Study and play with classmates.
  • Wash hands and have lunch.

Guess the time of the day by looking at the picture.

i. Sun rising behind hills ➔ Morning

ii. Mother cooking food ➔ Morning / Evening (Making breakfast or dinner)

iii. Boy eating food ➔ Afternoon / Night (Lunch or Dinner)

iv. Girl washing hands / Water tank filling ➔ Anytime during the day

Let us Do: Colour the activity that usually takes a longer time.

A. Filling a bucket vs. Filling a small mug

Answer: Colour the picture of filling the large bucket. It takes a longer time than a small mug.


B. Filling a bucket vs. Filling a large water tank

Answer: Colour the picture of filling the large water tank. A huge tank takes much longer to fill than a bucket.

Summer

Match to: Ice cream, cold water bottle, bright sun, beach toys.

Winter

Match to: Woolen cap, socks, muffler, hot soup, hot tea.

Monsoon (Rainy)
