Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed or 4-year B.El.Ed degree. SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates get 5% relaxation.

No, there is no negative marking in WB TET. Each correct answer carries 1 mark. Unattempted questions receive 0 marks. Candidates should attempt all 150 questions.

The WB TET certificate is valid for lifetime. However, as per NCTE guidelines, it is considered valid for 7 years from the date of notification for recruitment purposes.
